Four people have died from Legionnaires' at the Illinois Veterans Home facility in Quincy, according to an article on the Herald-Whig website.
Twenty-nine cases of have been confirmed connected with the facility
Workers at the facility have limited access to water sources which could carry the legionella bacteria. They have been using bottled water and sanitary wipes among other precautions.
Possible sources of the water-borne bacteria are being cleaned. Antibiotic treatments are being provided to anyone with the disease while tests are run on any residents or staff with even mild symptoms.
