Garland Named in Top 10 Northeast Ohio Workplaces

The Garland Company has been honored as a 2018 Top Workplace by The Plain Dealer among an impressive group of Northeast Ohio organizations. Garland placed 6th in the Small Companies category – up from 27th place in 2017. The oldest company to appear on the Small Companies list, this was Garland’s 7th consecutive year in the Top Workplaces rankings.

“This is a special honor for us because it belongs to our outstanding team,” said Garland’s VP & General Manager, Scott Craft. “Even with a history as long as Garland's, going all the way back to 1895, it is our people who continue to keep the fire going.”

The Plain Dealer ranked 150 Cleveland companies in the 9th annual Top Workplace ranking. Garland congratulated the other companies on this list for making Cleveland a great place to live and work.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “It’s an achievement organizations have to work for.”

The Top Workplace list is compiled by The Plain Dealer in partnership with Energage, an employee research and consulting firm. The results are based solely on employee feedback on topics including employee engagement, leadership and effectiveness.
