Baptist Health Sunrise Hospital hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the new facility. The planned seven-story, 340,000-square-foot facility is expected to open to patients in 2029, expanding access to care for residents of Sunrise and western Broward County. The hospital is designed as a modern, future-ready campus incorporating advanced medical technology, sustainable design features and a focus on patient-centered care.

The hospital will feature AI-enabled clinical systems, robotic-assisted surgery and digital integration with the broader Baptist Health network. The technology is intended to support faster clinical decision-making, more precise treatment and a more seamless patient experience. • A 30-bed emergency department with three triage areas and 24/7 emergency care
  • Four surgical suites with robotic-assisted capabilities, with capacity for future expansion
