Gundersen Health credits smaller price increase to energy independence

System's 1.8 percent hike lowest in 20 years

The Gundersen Health System is crediting a smaller price increase to energy independence, according to an article on the LaCrosse Tribune website.

The 1.8 percent hike is the lowest in 20 years for the LaCrosse, Wis., system.

Gundersen officials also credit their ability to cut the increase for 2018, down from 3.25 percent in 2017, to more efficient practices.

“It is on the horizon to go from lower increases to lower costs,” Gundersen CFO Dara Bartels said.
