Providence Health is turning its 408-bed hospital in northwest D.C. into a multiuse, walkable campus


Providence Health plans to turn its 408-bed hospital in northwest D.C. into a multiuse, walkable "health village," according to an article on the Fierce Healthcare website.

“We have begun to see the impact of a changing healthcare landscape both locally and nationally,” Providence CEO Darcy K. Burthay said in the article.

The campus will include a variety of service lines, such as primary care, specialty care, ambulatory care and telehealth and virtual care.

There will also be recreational space including green trails.
