Healthcare building and design trends suggest industry growth

A survey by Medical Construction & Design suggests the growth will be primarily renovations


A survey by Medical Construction & Design says healthcare building and design trends indicate both change and growth, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.

Survey responses indicate healthcare activity is increasing for 68 percent of firms. 

Fifty-five percent indicated that the overall square footage of their healthcare projects is increasing, while 9 percent felt the square footage was decreasing and 36 percent felt it was staying the same. 

Most of these projects are being geared toward renovations with over 60 percent of respondents indicating that more than half of their projects are renovations vs. new buildings.
