Large healthcare system are no longer designing one project at a time. During prototyping sessions, hospital leadership is focus is on the system, according to an article on the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce website.

A hospital system’s leadership develops the detail for the design during these planning sessions.  The involvement of key stakeholders can be broader or more narrow, dependent on the organizational culture. 

The goal is to create a system of standards that enhances predictability, speeds delivery to market and standardizes best practice methodology. 

Providers are using facilitated workshops not just to design a facility, but to design standards that can be used to develop an entire delivery system.
