Hospitals in Cleveland and Philadelphia have prepared for the increased activity caused by the political conventions, according to an article on the Stat News site.
Both cities expect in increase of minor problems: exhaustion, dehydration, misplaced medications. They are also preparing for the possibility of terrorist attacks, riots, shootings and fistfights.
Hospitals are stockpiling enough equipment to last 96 hours without resupply.
“At the suggestion of the Secret Service, we need to be able to act independently for four days,” said an official at the Cleveland Clinic.
