BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU Health Services has partnered with HyGreen Hygiene Recording and Reminding System to improve hand hygiene in the ambulatory and college healthcare setting.

The HyGreen Hand Hygiene Recording and Reminding System is the first and most comprehensive tool to definitively monitor adherence to hand hygiene protocols. HyGreen actively reminds healthcare workers if they forget to sanitize their hands prior to patient engagements.

WKU Health Services, an accredited facility with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), is excited about the opportunity to be a pilot facility for this technology. Now that the flu season has arrived, it is even more important for healthcare workers to remember to disinfect work areas and sanitize their hands.

HyGreen® actively reminds healthcare workers if they forget to sanitize their hands prior to patient engagements. The system documents each time a healthcare worker sanitizes their hands and through the use of wireless technology records their status on every interaction with a patient.
