IIoT Smart Lighting Report shows 100% increase in intelligent features since last year


Alumage Advisors has released its latest LED Smart Lighting Report, including a free version for end-users, highlighting 40 product features of interest for 1,000 more than C&I luminaires worldwide.

“Since introducing our first C&I reports in 2013, we added a smart lighting focus, as 77% 73% of the products we track are dimmable, 59% 57%offer motion sensors and 49% now offer network/controls options, representing a 100%+ increase in the last 12 months,” according to Mike Gagnon, President of Alumage Advisors.

“With LED lighting manufacturers, luminaires, ranging from high bay to architectural and hazardous applicationslighting,” Gagnon went on to say.

Alumage expects the C&I market for high lumen products to increase to $11-14B by 2020, with smart  Gagnon added, “with energy efficiency mandates such as Title 24, the emergence of IIoT, and organizations such as the Connected Lighting Alliance promoting the market, we expect smart lighting products to dominate the C&I landscape.”
