ISSA Announces 2019 Achievement Awards honorees

ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, today announced its 2019 Achievement Awards honorees, who will be recognized at ISSA Show North America 2019 in Las Vegas, November 18-21.

The Jack D. Ramaley Industry Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Jay R. Vonachen, founder of Vonachen Group, and the Manufacturer Representatives' Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Bill Hemann, vice president of sales and marketing for HOSPECO.

"It is a true honor to present these two awards to some of the most hard-working, professional, and innovative leaders in the industry," said John Barrett, executive director of ISSA. "The ISSA Show brings together those who prioritize innovation and change the way the world views cleaning. Both Vonachen and Hemann are true examples of what it means to succeed in this industry."

The Jack D. Ramaley Industry Distinguished Service Award honors individuals with 10 years of industry experience who have demonstrated outstanding service to the cleaning industry through their innovation, professionalism, leadership, elevation of industry standards, promotion of the association's growth and development, unselfish dedication without personal gain, and emulation of the ISSA Code of Ethics. Vonachen has dedicated his career to helping organizations prioritize cleanliness and image, as well as training and mentoring individuals to set them up for success in the contract cleaning industry.

With 44 years of service at HOSPECO, Hemann has earned a reputation as a visionary leader who inspires with his hard work and integrity. This makes him the ideal choice for the winner of the ISSA Manufacturer Representatives' Distinguished Service Award, which honors individuals for significant contributions to the industry and ISSA, and who have been supportive of manufacturer representatives. Over the course of his career, Hemann has contributed to HOSPECO's growth in the away-from-home market by diligently working in several different departments and functional areas.

ISSA Show North America 2019 takes place in Las Vegas, November 18-21, and features more than 700 exhibitors and 100-plus educational sessions from industry experts. The show brings together more than 16,000 professionals and features the latest cleaning innovations along with numerous networking opportunities.  For more information, visit issa.com/show.
