Simple tactics can make the space safer


Many clinics, urgent care centers, emergency rooms and physician practice waiting rooms are not safe places during this cold and flu season, according to a post on LinkedIn by J. Darrel Hicks, director environmental services at GCI Certified.

Some tactics to help control the spread of infection in waiting rooms include:

• Keep hand sanitizer readily available

• Throughout the day, use disinfectant wipes with an influenza A & B kill claim to clean waiting-room furniture and high-touch items
