Johnson Controls premium efficiency vertical stacked water source heat pumps deliver energy-efficient performance and flexible design

The new Premium Efficiency vertical stacked water source heat pumps (VSHPs) from Johnson Controls offer industry-leading efficiency—as high as 16.6 EER and up to 18.5 EER in ground loop (geothermal) applications—and a flexible design that allows for simple zoning, tenant metering and building expandability.

Utilizing the latest compressor and heat exchanger technologies, the new Premium Efficiency VSHP supports low operating costs with the highest efficiency of similar products in the industry. The unit features the comfort and flexibility of a four-pipe fan coil system in a cost-effective, two-pipe design and is ideally suited for any multi-story building with a consistent floor plan. The pre-engineered piping system also reduces installation time and costs and provides for future building expansion.

Designed to minimize sound and provide year-round comfort, the space-saving Premium Efficiency VSHP includes a compact cabinet constructed of heavy gauge, corrosion-resistant, coated steel that is designed for ease of installation and servicing. The heat pump interfaces with standard thermostats and includes microprocessor-based controls. The model also features:

• Outside air opening with collar and motorized damper

• Up to three supply air openings

• Sound-attenuating discharge baffles and an optional isolated chassis

• ECM motors

• MERV 8 filters

With the launch of the Premium Efficiency VSHP, Johnson Controls is the only manufacturer to offer multiple efficiency tiers of product to meet your up-front, or lifetime operational cost concerns. All units are AHRI/ISO 13256-1 and ETL certified for the U.S. and Canada and exceed ASHRAE 90.1 requirements at all rating conditions.
