LATICRETE Introduces VAPOR BAN™ Primer ER, the Future of Moisture Vapor Control and Primers

LATICRETE, a leading manufacturer of globally proven construction solutions for the building industry, has introduced VAPOR BAN™ Primer ER to eliminate the need of broadcasting sand into a moisture barrier or applying a primer after a moisture barrier has cured, which saves installers time and money. VAPOR BAN Primer ER is an ASTM F-3010 compliant, epoxy-based all-in-one moisture vapor barrier and primer, and thanks to the products’ dual purpose, is ready for self-leveling underlayment placement in as little as three hours. This product can be used for the installation of vinyl, rubber, VCT, carpet, wood, ceramic tile, stone and other moisture sensitive floor coverings and floor adhesives.

“By consolidating the application of a moisture barrier and primer from two steps to one step with VAPOR BAN Primer ER, contractors experience compound value through time savings and lower material and labor costs, which are always top concerns on the jobsite. VAPOR BAN Primer is a convenient, easy-to-use product that simplifies the construction process,” said LATICRETE Associate Product Manager Elvis Torres.

VAPOR BAN Primer is ideal for fast track projects like hospitals or schools, applications where moisture is present like cellars or basements, high-rise or large square footage projects where less labor and low material costs are key and residential projects seeking low waste. After three to four hours of curing, finished floor goods or NXTⓇ Level and SUPERCAPⓇ self-leveling products can be installed or applied immediately after. This product can be applied to clean and sound concrete, even over new concrete in as little as five days.
