Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Emergency System, 90Min Runtime, 120/277V, W/ Exit Sign


Larson Electronics announced the release of an explosion proof emergency system with exit sign for operational safety in hazardous work settings. This unit is compatible with 120-277V AC 60Hz and is ATEX/IECEx rated. This emergency system offers 90 minutes of emergency backup during power failure events.

The EXP-EMG-EXT-LE8-3L explosion proof emergency system with exit sign is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This unit for flammable work areas features a one-sided explosion proof LED exit sign and two 12-watt LEDs with a sealed lead acid battery pack for emergency operation during power failure events. An explosion proof enclosure holds the electrical components at the center of the system.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof emergency system features two LEDs that produces a total of 2,640 lumens of light and produces a 40˚ spot beam measuring 300 feet long by 225 feet wide. An adjustable pendant mount mechanism allows operators to control the beam direction. This unit is rated NEMA Type 3, 4, 4X, 7 (B, C, D), and 9 (E, F, G) and can operate in temperatures between -40˚C and 60˚C. This unit is waterproof up to three meters and features housing made of extruded aluminum with polycarbonate lenses. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, industrial facilities, and more.
