Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Surface Mount LED Light, 10W CID1, 12-24V DC


 Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a 10-watt explosion proof portable surface mount LED light fixture for use in hazardous locations. This unit operates on 12-24V DC and is offered in spot or flood beam configurations. This 10-watt LED unit provides 900 lumens of light output with a color temperature rating of 6000K.

The EXHL-TRN-LE2-1224 explosion proof surface mount LED light is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2, and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2, hazardous locations. This 10-watt unit comes in a spot or flood beam configuration with the spot featuring a 10-degree beam measuring 225 feet long and 25 feet wide. The Flood configuration features a 35-degree beam measuring 45 feet long and 40 feet wide. Wiring runs through a rigid pipe to the 3/4-inch NPT hubs on either side of the fixture and tied to the terminal strips to complete electrical connections.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof LED fixture is rated NEMA Type 3, 4, 4X, 7 (B, C and D) and 9 (E, F and G) and is designed to withstand demanding and harsh environments. This unit can operate in temperatures between -40˚C and 60˚C, is waterproof up to three meters and keeps out dust, dirt and humidity. The housings of this unit are made of extruded aluminum with lenses made of hardened borosilicate glass. Suitable applications include security systems, patrolling, outdoor settings, explosive work environments, and more.
