Legrand, North and Central America Donates Over $100,000 to Building Homes for Heroes

Legrand, North and Central America, today announced a donation of $102,000 to the national, non-profit Building Homes for Heroes® organization. The donations come from two Legrand divisions: Electrical Wiring Systems and the Audio-Video Division, during their annual sales meetings earlier this month. Events in Atlanta and Minneapolis raised $51,000 from employees and partner agencies which was matched dollar by dollar by Legrand. All funds raised will be used to build new homes for veterans.

Support for Building Homes for Heroes has become an annual event at Legrand’s sales meetings and to date, Legrand has raised over $400,000 for the organization. Legrand has contributed to the Building Homes for Heroes organization, as part of its Better Communities program, for the past seven years with fundraising efforts and product donations from the company’s different divisions. Legrand’s Better Communities Program supports employee volunteer and philanthropic efforts throughout the nation focused on home and housing programs, the greening of schools, and providing disaster preparation and relief.

“The generosity of our teams contributing to Building Homes for Heroes has been overwhelming and we are proud to continue our support of the organization," said John Selldorff, CEO, Legrand North and Central America. "The brave individuals who serve our country and protect our freedom deserve the highest level of care and respect and we appreciate the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives upon returning home.”

Building Homes for Heroes is a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization that is strongly committed to transforming and rebuilding lives by supporting brave men and women who were injured while serving our country. The organization builds or modifies homes and gifts them mortgage-free to veterans and their families.
