Legrand to Donate up to $100k in Matched Employee Contributions to Red Cross Natural Disaster Relief Efforts

In response to the damaging floods that took place in the Bayou-Lafayette region of Louisiana and other recent catastrophes that have devastated several areas of the country, Legrand North America, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has set up a relief fund through the Red Cross. Legrand’s donation to the Red Cross will help provide food, shelter and comfort to those impacted by major storms, fires and other natural disasters that occur across the United States.

Over the next 90 days, Legrand employees are encouraged to make donations to the Red Cross, and the company will match employee contributions up to a total of $100,000, with a minimum corporate donation of $50,000.

“We recognize the importance of companies like ours to help provide significant assistance to the people and regions affected by such devastating events,” said, Alessandra Adnani, Data Quality Manager and Legrand Better Communities Committee Leader. “Our employees share a sense of responsibility to come together and assist the Red Cross in helping all communities recover and rebuild as quickly as possible.”

The Red Cross responds to nearly 66,000 disasters per year—including single-family and apartment home residents, and citywide crisis. One of their most recent relief operations launched in Louisiana, is anticipated to cost at least $30 million. As a 501(c)(3) public charity, the American Red Cross relies upon the support of generous Americans to fulfill its mission.
