Lithonia Lighting re-engineers popular P Series LED recessed lights in response to new Title 24 residential lighting requirements

ATLANTA - Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI) enhances its popular P Series family of LED recessed lighting from Lithonia Lighting® to help contractors and builders meet the increased color quality requirements for high efficacy lighting established by new Title 24 legislation in California. Now, new residential construction has a best-in-class option for high efficacy LED lighting in spaces such as kitchens and basements.

The new P Series LED recessed modules deliver a high color-rendering index (93) for superior color rendering in both 2700K and 3000K, where blues are true blues, whites are whiter and reds are more vibrant. In addition to improved light quality, the new P Series LED recessed lights are available in seven new finishes to accommodate a variety of residential décor styles.

"Our expanded LED recessed lighting solutions meet or exceed the new Title 24 requirements for residential luminaires, which we anticipate other parts of the country will begin adopting in the near future," said Kim Brown, Acuity Brands Product Support Manager. "P Series LED recessed modules are engineered to provide premium lighting with superior performance to arm contractors, builders and ultimately, homeowners with the best quality LED recessed lighting in its class."

Available in 4-inch, 5-inch or 6-inch aperture sizes, all P Series LED recessed lights are ENERGY STAR rated to deliver 46 years of expected life based on 50,000 hours at 3 hours per day. The fixtures feature a universal fit and a broad and even distribution of light. The P Series family is wet-listed for use in any indoor application.

P Series LED modules are available pre-assembled to specification for convenience, or as separate trims and LED modules to maximize configurability and minimize distributor inventory. They are officially certified with the California Energy Commission as high-efficacy luminaries for use in Title 24 residential compliance.
