The Whittington Health Trust recognized that demand for acute services was rising its service area and build a new ambulatory care center adjacent to its existing hospital that would expand its same-day treatment capabilities, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website. Among the project goals was a layout designed around the patients’ needs, staff requirements, and smooth departmental flow.
