Longterm master plan selected for California medical center

Olive View-UCLA Medical Center plan a roadmap for campus growth over the next 20-50 years

Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, Calif., has selected a master plan that includes a roadmap for campus growth over the next 20-50 years, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.

The campus has gone through significant changes throughout its development history and, as a result, there has been a lack of coherence and unity and the natural setting and landscape lost, the article said.

The new master plan, titled “Nature’s Edge,” creates a sustainable and open campus. The longterm plan includes a new hospital, outpatient clinic and a medical office building for the University of California Los Angeles.

The effort provides flexibility and allow the master plan to adapt to changes over time.
