Man sues after images of hospital stay aired on TV

Man seeking damages after images were shown in a CNN documentary

A Connecticut man who claims he was shot in the face by former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez has sued CNN for airing images of him while he was recovering in a Florida hospital, according to an article on the Hartford Currant website.

The man is seeking to recover damages after the images were shown in the documentary, "CNN Special Report: Downward Spiral Inside the Case Against Aaron Hernandez."

In two segments, he was seen in photos lying "unconscious, bloodied, bandaged and intubated" in St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, the lawsuit said.

The man contends in the lawsuit that he never authorized the hospital or CNN to photograph him while he was in the hospital bed, nor did he provide them with any photos.
