Medpricer Signs Banner Health to Customer Roster

Medpricer, the leading purchased services cost management solution for the healthcare industry, today announced it is partnering with Phoenix-based Banner Health. Its supply chain leadership team chose Medpricer’s mSource® and Precision Benchmarks to strengthen its existing purchased services strategy.

Like many healthcare organizations, operating costs continue to climb. The 28-hospital network reported a $7.8 billion revenue in 2018. It aims to further drive revenue by using Precision Benchmarks to analyze the spend activity and compare supplier prices across the U.S. to identify the best savings opportunities.

Banner Health will also implement Medpricer’s mSource platform, which gives the industry-leading healthcare provider the ability to manage purchased services analytics by category, facility, and supplier. With mSource, their supply chain team will be able to implement an end-to-end purchased services strategy for assessing spend and transforming supplier relationships.

“Banner Health’s supply chain team is positioning itself to gain more independence with sourcing,” said Medpricer CEO Chris Gormley. “We look forward to working closely with the supply chain team to drive their sourcing program forward.”
