Bronson Methodist Hospital is still being recognized for its forward-thinking design nearly 20 years after it was built, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.
The Kalamazoo, Mich., facility has been recognized with the ACHA 2017 Legacy Project Award.
The design for the new facility, build in 2000, benefited from a thoughtfully conceived long-term vision guided by a patient-centered focus.
The facility is known for its expert use of evidence-based design and for being one of the Center for Health Design's inaugural Pebble Projects, the article said.
