N.C. healthcare facility redesigning patient rooms with community input

Wilson Medical Center launching a $82 million renovation

Wilson (N.C.) Medical Center has been gathering input from staff and community members for the redesign of its patient rooms, according to an article on the Wilson Times website.

As part of the $82 million renovation, patient rooms are being made larger. Staff and community members have been asked to visit a mock room and offer a critique.

Three rooms are being turned into two rooms in most cases and are being completely gutted and refitted with new flooring, trim work, paint and beds.

Bathrooms will be larger and more accessible and the rooms will be large enough to accommodate pull-out sleeper chairs.
