Glens Falls Hospital and Adirondack Civic Center Coalition are jointly seeking New York Energy Research and Development Authority funding for a proposed energy efficiency/emergency “micro-grid” power project, according to an article on the Glens Falls Post-Star website.
The proposed project would establish a new backup power source for the hospital and also would provide backup power to the Civic Center as a regional shelter during an emergency or extreme weather conditions.
The project is being planned in collaboration with Johnson Controls, an energy consulting company.
