NELSON Worldwide Renovates Miami Heat Sports Medicine Center at Baptist Health

Baptist Health’s Miami Heat Sports Medicine Center, located in Coral Gables, Florida, was reconfigured to follow the organization’s new patient care model and refocus on an elevated patient experience.

For the revamp of the medical office building, NELSON Worldwide was tasked with repositioning the main lobby on the first level, adjacent to a new canopy drop-off area complete with a dedicated valet space, and new branding and signage. The new space features 42 state-of-the-art exam rooms, updated staff lounges, clearly defined wayfinding and a centrally located parking garage with easy access to each level. Shifting from a traditional check-in model, each floor is also equipped with their own registration and has been assigned an accent color as an effective means for guidance.

The refreshed facility offers healthcare providers a dynamic setting to perform their complex procedures, all while keeping the patient experience—from diagnosis to treatment and recovery—at the forefront.
