Saint Francis Health System will build a $23 million, 49,000-square-foot Glenpool healthcare complex in Hlenpool, Okla., near Tulsa, according to an article on the Tulsa World website.
With estimated completion in spring of 2017, the two-story facility will house an emergency center open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, The facility will offer urgent care services as well.
“It will be a bit of research and development for us in the sense that northeastern Oklahoma has not had a free-standing, level-three emergency center.”said Jake Henry Jr., president and CEO of Saint Francis Health Center.
Glenpool complex will be the first of its type in the region to support “clinical integration” — the progression from pre-care, with doctors, urgent care centers, emergency centers — to acute care (hospital care) to aftercare (skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation facilities and home care).
