New 409,000-square-foot neuroscience center built in Columbus

OhioHealth opens facility, one of the largest in the country, at Riverside Methodist Hospital

The new 409,000-square-foot neuroscience center built by OhioHealth at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus is one of the largest in the country, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

The $300 million, 10-story facility features 224 private rooms overlooking a large, open courtyard.

Designers made the space as easy as possible to maneuver, according to the article.  Each patient room has a uniform design to minimize confusion and large floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glass for natural light.

The center also has wide hallways and doorways for easier access and navigation.
