New FGI guidelines for design and construction released

The 2018 edition introduces the new Outpatient Guidelines document

The Facility Guidelines Institute has released the 2018 Guidelines for Design and Construction on the FGI website.

The 2018 edition introduces the new outpatient guidelines document, which addresses a range of outpatient facility projects.

Changes to the hospital guidelines clarify requirements and allow flexibility in some designs to support development of facilities that will be functional over the long term.

The 2018 Residential Guidelines refines requirements and provides guidance for long-term residential substance abuse treatment and facilities for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
