Facilities have feature amenities designed for patients 65-and-older


New Texas Healthcare facilities designed with amenities designed for patients 65-and-older, according to an article on the Hospitals and Health Networks website.

Texas Health Resources has launched a new line of "Your Health Center" clinics that feature hallways with handrails to larger exam rooms that accommodate wheelchairs and walkers, handicap-accessible scales, and large-print forms for easier reading. 

Texas Health will also staff the clinics with the Medicare population in mind. There will be physician assistants, dietitians, social workers and case managers at each clinic.

The Medicare access crunch was the driver to create this model, according to system officials
