New York hospital plans $2 billion renovation
The project will include residential apartments
Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City is preparing a $2 billion renovation that will include upgraded clinical areas and residential apartments, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.
The renovations would make all patient rooms private.
The project will also expand and update operating rooms, expand the hospital's emergency department and create a maternity services facility with a separate entrance.
The proposed 41-story, 200-bed apartment building would provide ongoing funding for the hospital, the article said.
