New hybrid medical facility coming to former Staten Island Walgreens

Richmond University Medical Center is opening a new healthcare facility


Richmond University Medical Center is opening a new healthcare facility in the former Walgreens building in Staten Island, N.Y., according to an article on the Staten Isand Live website.

The new "immediate/walk-in healthcare facility" is planned at the former retal site.

"They're a hybrid model combining the convenience of urgent care facilities and the familiarity of primary care doctors. We also anticipate having several specialists located there," according to a Richmond spokesperson.

The facility is expected to open mid-2018.
