The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., was named the best hospital in the world in 2020 by Newsweek, according to an article on the Beckers Hospital Review.
For its "World's Best Hospitals 2020 ranking," the magazine looks at rank leading hospitals in 21 countries.
The ranking is based on patient survey results, key medical performance indicators and recommendations from medical experts.
The top five hospitals in the world:
1. Mayo Clinic
2. Cleveland Clinic
3. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)
4. Toronto General Hospital (Toronto, Canada)
5. Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Berlin, Germany)
