Novant Health Gets Approval for Wesley Chapel Medical Center

The 32-bed hospital will be located in Monroe and is expected to be completed in 2030.


Novant Health received approval from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for its first comprehensive community hospital in the Wesley Chapel area of Union County. Novant Health Wesley Chapel Medical Center, a 32-bed hospital, will be located in Monroe and is expected to be completed in 2030. 

In addition to 32 beds, Novant Health Wesley Chapel Medical Center will feature: an emergency department, procedure rooms, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, labor and delivery, general medicine and surgical specialty care, with space to expand as future needs evolve. 

The hospital will support a continuum of care for patients, joining an established group of Novant Health primary and specialty care clinics.
