Under a bipartisan bill introduced in the Ohio House and Senate, nursing home residents could have surveillance cameras in their rooms, according to an article on the 10TV WBNS website.
There is currently no law in Ohio against using private cameras inside a nursing home, but it's up to the nursing home to allow it.
The Ohio Health Care Association isn't against the bill but tells 10TV it does have privacy concerns.
Six states already allow in-room cameras but often times it's only for specific kinds of nursing homes.
