Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus to begin modernization project in spring


Ohio's Mount Carmel Health System will invest more than $700 million in major projects at three of their campuses. Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus to begin modernization project in spring, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

Mount Carmel East project will improve on all aspects of the current facility and make accessing the campus easier, the article said. The renovated Mount Carmel East will have all private patient rooms.

Mount Carmel Grove City will be expanded with a $355 million investment. The expanded hospital will feature 210 private rooms and seven floors of clinical service.

The nearly 130-year old Mount Carmel West campus will be transformed into a health and educational campus.
