Burton Park welcomes a new medical office building for Onslow Memorial Hospital. Representatives from Onslow County, Onslow Memorial Hospital, Trask Land Company and Thomas Construction Group broke ground on the $14 million project at 172 NW Corridor Blvd.

The 36,000-square-foot, two-story facility is part of a public private partnership between Trask Land Company and Onslow County to boost economic development. The medical office building is the first phase of a proposed mixed-use facility that could also host retail and restaurants. Trask Land Company expects the initial facility to open in January 2027.

In 1997 Onslow County purchased the 730-acre property that would become Burton Park for $630,000 to create business opportunities. The site is currently home to a variety of businesses and amenities including industrial, commercial, childcare, education, government and recreation facilities.
