Paladin adds antimicrobial element to Fairfield-style rail to support infection control initiatives

OAKLAND, Fla. – Paladin Medical Products LLC. (Paladin) now offers an Anti-Microbial Finish (AMF) on all equipment, rail and head-wall products. Paladin has also embedded anti-microbial properties in its new lightweight plastic adapter, specifically created to support infection control devices. The Paladin AMF incorporates proven elements of anti-microbial technology and is available in several different colors.

“According to new data released by the CDC, on any given day approximately one in 25 U.S. patients contracts at least one infection. During the course of their hospital care, this adds up to about 722,000 infections since 2011,”said Gary Schindele, president of Paladin.  ”We understand the pressure healthcare providers are under to reduce infection rates. Our team of engineers is out in the field talking to nurses and coming up with real solutions. Paladin is proud to enhance its rails, adapters and accessories in support of the initiatives implemented by providers,” added Schindele.

Paladin is dedicated to continually finding solutions within their product line that will contribute to the elimination of health care associated infections and following the CDC’s latest published evidence-based infection prevention guidelines.
