Parallel Technologies Expands Distributed Antenna System Capabilities with Key New Hire

Parallel Technologies, an industry-leading reliable data center and intelligent building solutions company, is continuing to invest in its Distributed Antenna System (DAS) capabilities with the addition of Philip Leaf as DAS Engineering Lead.

A veteran DAS engineer, in his new role at Parallel Technologies, Leaf will provide oversight for all aspects of the company’s DAS practice including coverage needs analysis, radio frequency (RF) system design and commissioning services.

“With the ubiquity of mobile devices, cellular networks are taxed and connectivity to the cellular network is necessary to maintain operational stability as well as customer satisfaction,” said Dale Klein, president and owner, Parallel Technologies. “To combat this, DAS is a critical part of a company’s network architecture. Phillip’s experience within the industry and in complex installation projects will help us meet the increasing wireless demands for this service by our clients.”

Leaf joins Parallel Technologies with a wealth of hands-on DAS implementation experience. As a construction manager for the national DAS construction firm, ARQ Wireless, he oversaw all aspects of the Verizon DAS installations in Minnesota and the Great Plains region. Prior to ARQ Wireless, he worked as an RF engineer and construction manager at Pierson Wireless where he managed and installed DAS projects for Sprint and Version as well as the DAS installation at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Earlier in his career, he worked construction management for Mill City Electric. A trained electrician, Leaf is a graduate of St. Cloud Technical College. He lives with his family in Minneapolis.
