Patient experience part of winning equation for 'Beautiful' hospitals

First-time entry won top spot in annual contest

Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, New York was Soliant's Most Beautiful Hospital for 2017, but the win may have less to do with its outer beauty than what's goes on the inside, the article said.

According to Orange Regional, many patients have described it as feeling more like home than a hospital.

A theme throughout this year's competition was that making a hospital beautiful means that it feels like a place of healing, not just look like one.
