Patients, visitors hide in safe room during waiting room brawl

More security called for because 'no one was available' when the violence erupted

Patients and visitors had to hide in a safe room during a waiting room brawl in Geelong Hospital's emergency department, according to an article on The Daily Mail website.

Increased security has been called for at the Geelong, Victoria, facility in Australia because 'no one was available' when the violence erupted.

One witness said security did not arrive until five minutes after the fight had ended.

'The emergency department is under constant surveillance and security is on site at all times," according to a hospital spokesperson.
