Police say thief was sleeping in Phoenix hospital basement

A man was caught stealing multiple laptops and large televisions

A man was caught stealing multiple laptops and large televisions from a Phoenix hospital last month and was believed to have been sleeping in the hospital's basement, according to an article on the ABC 15 website.

Phoenix police said a man was seen on surveillance video stealing three laptop computers from the Abrazo Central Campus Hospital. The video reportedly shows the man wandering around the basement of the hospital for about three hours, going through classrooms and changing his appearance.

He then took the computers from a classroom and stashed them under the staircase where he had made a bed with a gurney mattress. The hospital also reported televisions were also missing.

Police say he had stayed at the hospital several nights taking food and other small items, going into rooms that were closed.
