An American Hospital Association webinar outlines steps for healthcare facilities to prepare for an active shooter, according to an article on the Hospitals & Health Networks website.

The American Society for Healthcare Engineering hosted a webchat to share some of the field’s best practices in responding to an active shooter within the hospital. 

The webinar offered steps that hospital leaders can take to better prepare their institutions. They included assessing risks and vulnerabilities.

The webinar also included information on prevention and response tactics.
