Privacy screen add-on for doors blocks both light and vision

Air Louvers has introduced the Privacy Screen, a cost-effective system to add privacy to doors that blocks all light and vision. The Privacy Screen fits all manufacturers’ vision lites on doors up to half-lite size, and installs in seconds.  As part of an integrated safety and security system in healthcare facilities, the Privacy Screen is ideal for adding privacy to patient rooms, conference and consultation rooms.

The Privacy Screen installs in seconds onto existing vision frames on doors with no tools or training, and has been tested and approved for use on fire-rated doors.  Air Louvers developed this framed screen as a more cost-effective solution than complete vision lite retrofits such as mini-blind glass units, which can be used without replacing or modifying already-installed vision frames.

The light-blocking, fabric shade slides up and down in a recessed track and retracts smoothly with the push of a button.  Designed for use in the education market, all components are extremely durable, and the roller-mechanism has been tested to 10,000 cycles The Privacy Screen is installed with adhesive-backed 3M Dual-Lock™ which allows the screen to be removed and re-attached when needed, yet holds the frame securely in place during normal use of the door.

The patent-pending, Privacy Screen can be used on both fire-rated and non-rated doors, is UL-Listed for use on fire-rated doors up to 90 minutes, and meets UL10C standards when installed on a metal vision frame.  Privacy Screens are available in sizes from a minimum of 13” x 13” to a maximum of up 30”wide x 36” high.
