New York hospitals are trying to help frontline healthcare workers be ready to fight COVID-19 by creating spaces to unwind, according to an article on the FacilitiesNet website.

Some healthcare facilities are creating recharge rooms, betting on the fact that there will be benefit for staff by having access to spaces simply to rest and relax. 

Mount Sinai Hospital, for instance, partnered a design firm to create recharge rooms that incorporate elements of nature with relaxing music and candles.

The strategy is part of an initiative called Frontline Strong Relief, which is working on several ways to support frontline workers, including snacks and meals, and other support space.
