Schneider Electric introduces AccuSine+ Active Harmonic Filtering to correct power quality issues

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, announced the release of AccuSine PCS+ and AccuSine PFV+ for active harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation. The AccuSine+™ product family provides the simplest and most effective means to mitigate harmonics, reduce process-related voltage fluctuations, and improve electrical equipment operating life and distribution system capacity.

Harmonics and reactive power can cause problems including equipment damage and reduced reliability, expensive downtime, and lost productivity. Overheating equipment, flicker issues, and utility penalty charges for poor power factor are just a few symptoms of power quality issues. With reliable and comprehensive harmonic mitigation, power factor correction and mains current balancing in one product, AccuSine PCS+ is an effective power quality solution.

Power factor correction of AccuSine+ active filters reduces utility billing while load support and balancing improves process quality. Equipment life and system capacity are improved and mains current balancing prevents unplanned stoppages, maximizing uptime and production scheduling.

With digital communications via Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP/IP, AccuSine+ active filters include easy remote monitoring and operational control. A compact HMI terminal includes a user-friendly touch screen that integrates Ethernet and includes an alarm function with fault logging for better traceability.

The AccuSine+ family makes realizing superior power system efficiency simple, safe, and economical. Improve business operations, reduce capital and operating expenses, and improve power and equipment reliability. All with one space-saving and cost-effective solution.

"The AccuSine+ product line is simple to size, install, operate and maintain," said Jim Johnson, global offer manager, active solutions. "It mitigates detrimental power quality issues, helping to improve efficiency and productivity while reducing operational costs. Both AccuSine PCS+ and AccuSine PFV+ help improve system capacity and reliability so you can avoid costly downtime and minimize equipment replacement."

Easy to operate, integrate and maintain, AccuSine PCS+ and AccuSine PFV+ are available in 60A, 120A, 200A, and 300A ratings and can be configured into different capacities. They carry UL, CSA, CE and ABS certifications and meets all major worldwide harmonic standards, such as IEEE 519-2014, G5/4-1, GB/T 14549 and IEC 61000 3-4.
