Senior facility installs security cameras after patient is injured

80-year-old woman was assaulted by another resident and left with broken ribs


A senior facility in Brisbane, Australia, installed security cameras after a patient suffered multiple injuries, according to an article on the Daily Mail website.

In one incident, the 80-year-old woman was assaulted by another resident and left with broken ribs.

The woman also suffered injuries from three "unwitnessed falls" during her time at the St Vincent’s Care Services.

The Aged Care Complaints Commissioner is now investigating the aged care home, which installed security cameras in the aftermath of the attack.
