Sika Corporation Announces Participation at 2017 Glassbuild America

Sika Corporation, premiere supplier of innovative glass bonding solutions, is proud to announce its participation as an exhibitor at GlassBuild America 2017: The Glass, Window & Door Expo™, September 12-14 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Sika will be exhibiting at booth # 3511.

Sika’s Facades, Fenestration and Insulating Glass (FFI) division is pleased to feature its line of Sikasil® engineered structural silicone solutions for manufacturing, field construction and installation of commercial glass facades including Sikasil® IG-25 HM Plus, which is ideal as a secondary edge seal for argon filled insulating glass with structural glazing capabilities.

The FFI group will also exhibit Sika’s line of high performing residential hurricane-rated impact and general window back bedding glazing products, as well as our full line of installation sealants and adhesives.

Additionally, Sika will showcase a full line of Flat Glass (FG) silicone and polyurethane sealants and adhesives at this year's show.  These products are ideal for both small commercial and residential FG applications.

Sika product displays will highlight the following new technologies:

•    Sikasil® IG-25 HM Plus – Two part, neutral cure, high modulus, and low movement sealant improves argon gas retention.  Potential for reduced sightlines.  Meets requirements of EN 1279 and ASTM 2190.

•    SikaGlaze® GG-735 – Two part, pourable, self-leveling polymer grout.  Material is ideal for installation of glass embedding of monolithic or laminated glass panes in U-profiles.  Can be used for glass balustrades and total vision glass walls.

•    SikaTack® Panel System – System consists of elastic adhesive, double sided fixing tape and pre-treatment product.  Designed for adhering ventilated architectural façade panel systems in new construction or renovation projects. Allows for creative opportunities for façade design.

•    Sikaflex®-124 Mirror Grip – One component, moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive designed for use in bonding mirrors vertically in place.  Material has lower odor than high solvent or asphaltic materials and requires less material compared to other similar products.

"We are very excited about the expansion of our product range and engineering services for the facades, fenestration and insulating glass industry as well as our Flat Glass business," says Russ Livermore, Vice President Industry Marketing.  "Our comprehensive range of engineered structural and general purpose silicone products - along with our already recognized residential window glazing and installation product line - strengthens Sika's global leadership in glass sealing and bonding."

Sika Corporation will be exhibiting at booth # 3511 at GlassBuild America.
