Singapore healthcare facilities work to protect patients from haze

Some ventilation systems are fitted with HEPA filters


As the haze in Singapore continues to persist, healthcare facilities are taking steps to protect those under their care, according to an article CNA website.

In Changi General Hospital (CGH), for instance, wards without air conditioning, use portable air cooling units and air purifiers and screens are installed to prevent the inflow of haze.

CGH's ventilation systems are also fitted with HEPA filters.

In addition, at CGH, patients who have medical conditions that make them susceptible to the haze have been given suitable respirators for support.
